Flora Rikin

I am Flora Rikin, a Bandung based photographer. I am a mother of two and a proud grandmother of three, and I also manage a supermarket, so my days are shaped by both family life and everyday rhythms. Photography has been a heartfelt part of my life since 2011, when I began learning seriously at Tjap Budhi Ipoeng Photography School in Bandung. Along the way, I reached important milestones, including passing the Gold test in 2015 and completing the Platinum level in 2016 after presenting a self exhibition.

Over the years, my photographs have taken me from intimate local stories to journeys further afield, and I have been grateful to share this work through exhibitions such as What a Wonderful World and Gyeong Nam, as well as through several photography books, including Moroccan Journey (2017), Exploring Ladakh (2018), Inti Raymi Peruvian Sun Festival (2019), and Dialektika (2022). I invite you to explore my portfolio slowly, enjoy the light and quiet details within each frame, and feel welcome to return whenever you wish, these images are here for you to experience in your own time.
